Newsletter is a another project in communication technology class.And of couse,like other projects,it is a very big and important work,and it is also a group work.We were ask to do a 8 pages newsletter.This work is not easy,and in fact,it’s really hard.At first I even don’t know which one should I do first!I just want to say during this period I learned a lot.But I also found that Publisher which is a software is not good enough,especially whe we choose the color for our background.We tried a lot of colors,and no one is very perfect.At last we just choose a color that may be better than others .For this project,I didn’t think we did very well,because the topic is quite general and a little bit boring.The whole newsletter is not very useful.Anyway,if next time I still have chance to do the same work,I will try to use other software,like Photoshop,etc. , and I won’t choose this kind of topics any more…

I-phone was invented last year,and until now,it is sold only in a few developed countries,such as America,Germany,Australia,and so on.It is still not sold in China.China is the world’s biggest cellphone market,as there are about 5.3 billion people own the cellphone.So for i-phone company,they have to sell the cellphone in China to get more profit.Because i-phone needs a very good internet support and a good seller,they want to work with China mobile,but they asked China mobile to give them 20%-30% profits every year.Of couse,as a result,China mobile refused this requirement.The speaker of China mobile said Apple company wants to control the whole market,but it is impossible in China.And he also said Apple’s products are good ,but it doesn’t mean they also good at communication,whereas,China mobile is really good at it.So China mobile thought this plan cannot be accepted and it’s hard to let both companies get profit.In my view,it seems that i-phone still has a very long road need to go,because their market strategy in China is not very popular and may be it is difficult to continue…

Although facbook has already had many teenager fans in America,facebook still want to attract more users,i.e. the adult and the users outside the U.S.A. This week, facebook add a new service about privacy,and it hopes to get more users,such as business men from another website LinkedIn which is a business website.This new service let the users can control the information by themselves.People can choose who can browse his or her profile and who cannot be allowed,and also who can see all the information,but who only can see the limited information.Facebook wants to use this new service to get the business users.Comparing to the last year,facebook’s privacy got so many problems that many people would like to refuse using it,esp.the adult,now facebook is becoming much better and the service is more specific.And another point about facebook is that facebook may inmitate Wikipedia to let all the people edit facebook into many different language versions.Be international is a goal of facebook…

Iphone is an new product of Apple company.It is an internet-enabled multimedia mobile phone.It has a multi-touch screen with virtual keyboard and buttons.Its functions are:a camera phone,i-pod,text messaging,and visual viocemail.It also offers internet services:e-mail,web browsing,and local Wi-Fi connectivity.It uses GSM standard,and that’s why it has international capability.It supports the EDGD data technology.Apple company announced the i-phone in January 2007.Time magazine called i-phone is the invention of 2007.

Youtube is a big website for watching the free videos and movies.This website is becoming more and more popular now.Because everyone has a chance to record themselves in a video and become famous and the costs are really cheap.For me,in fact,I don’tlike to use Youtube,the reason is funny:first,the internet in condo is really bad and slow,and if I want to download somthing,may be it will cost one or two hours,sometimes,even longer!!!Second,not every video in Youtube is worth watching,and many of them are boring and useless.I still remember that last few weeks,I had a presentation for economics,and I need a video.So I just went to Youtube and wanted to find something useful.My topic is about GDP,and I need to taught my classmates how to calculate it.It is a diffficult work.I hope the video can help to solve this problem.However,the video that I found was so stupid.It seems that guy just want to waste some time.At last, I had to teach it by myself.Maybe I need to try more and then I can find the merit of Youtube.But anyway,as an example of Web2.0,we always find that both useful and useless information is a serious problem which disturb us a lot…

I haven’t used facebook before,so I decide to try this new thing.Last few months,I set up my own facebook,and like many people,at first,I was very excited about using facebook.Through facebook,I found many old friends,and of course I also make a lot new friends.hehehe~I would like to see other people’s profile and every time,I always add many applications whatever they are good or not.At the beginning,I was really enjoy it,and I felt relaxed when I was using it.However,After one month,facebook is not as interesting as I thought.The reason is very complicated:first,I met some friends that I don’t like at all,and they sent friend requirement to me.I don’t know what should I do,because if I press “ignore”,it just doesn’t feel good.Second,many applications are really useless and made my space so mussy,although they are interesting.Third,my friends always send me the same application.Another reasons are that I cannot use facebook to search the lastest news and some information that I really need.

From using it,I found facebook is not bad,but it’s also not very useful.

Why is not bad:

You can choose and edit whatever you want.

Nobody has privacy on facebook.

Applications are interesting.

& Why is useless:

Many applications only be used once.

Always meet some friends that I don’t like at all.

Cannot use it as a real search tool,like Google.

Web2.0 is not simply an extension of earlier trends on the internet.The reason is because people needs a bigger market to run the business,and they want to reduce the cost,but make the profit.Web2.0 is a good platform for all the people to exchange the information and most of them are free.It is a very important reason that Web2.0 is becoming so popular.Another reason is because Web2.0 is not only a platform for people to find what they want,it’s also a platform for people to post the information which may satisfy the people.A good example is about Facebook.

Facebook is a website for people to make friends and have fun.You can find your old friends through the Facebook,and you also can add some interesting games and information to your profile and all these are free,although some applications said you need to pay money and then you can use them,it’s also not a real money because if you ask your other friends to use it,it means you buy it.It’s quite convenient and fast.

However,not all the new things are good.Facebook with no exception.When you use Facebook for a long time,you can find that much information is repeatedand and useless.It doesn’t like Google,which can search more information and more useful.

And another point about Web2.0 is that the copyright is not as important as before.Because Web2.0 gives many new people a chance to present them through many different ways.It doesn’t like the old way,people need to spend money to do the advertisement,record CD,etc. So at last I just want to say:base on the free information and the cheap cost,copyright is hard to protect and also useless.Web2.0 is very different with Web1.0 is because the purpose of both of them are opposite.Information is not belong to someone any more,as everyone can change it and save it.People only need the different ways to enjoy the information.    

Recently,Microsoft wants to purchase Yahoo at $44.6 billion,however,this plan was rejected by Yahoo,because Yahoo thought Microsoft made a wrong decision,and also undervalued Yahoo.Microsoft always like buying some other companies in order to fight other strong competitor.This time,Microsoft also has the same purpose,as Google is becoming more and more stronger.It is a very big menace for Microsoft.Yahoo’s share is always at a very low price recently,that’s why Microsoft thought buying Yahoo is a good choice,and they asked the Yahoo’s shareholder to choose either cash or stock.Because of this plan,Yahoo’s share price is rising a lot.

It’s very hard to say this plan which Microsoft made  is good or not.The reason is because: first,purchasing other companies is always a useful way to let a company become much more stronger,especially when Yahoo and Microsoft are not as strong as before.This plan may be can let the two companies both get the benefit.Second,Google is a good example of Web 2.0,and it’s really different with other websites as it can satisfy most people’s wants and needs.People always would like to try something new,so this reason made Google becoming stronger and get the bigger market to make more profits.In other words,i.e. Google is good at inventing new technology and using the another,the most satisfyed way to get more profit,whereas,Microsoft decide to use combination to get the benefit in the battle of business.Thirdly,although Yahoo said they won’t sell the company,the shareholder agree with Microsoft’s plan.May be Yahoo will be sold at last.

From this news,Google now thinks they will help Yahoo,i.e.purchasing it,to fight Microsoft.But Microsoft won’t give up,as if Microsoft would like to pay all the money in cash,it means Yahoo and Microsoft will both get the benefit,and Yahoo can say they were sold at a very good price,whereas,Microsoft could say they use a perfect strategy to purchase this company.However,paying all the money in cash doesn’t mean Microsoft is a big winner,because since this plan was published,Microsoft’s share price is falling a lot,and at the same time,Microsoft will lend some money from other banks or companies to buy Yahoo.It is a really big stress for Microsoft.So in my view,there is very long way to let both companies get the benefit.Combination is just a strategy to get the profit,however,at last,the whole market needs the way that can be satisfyed most people’s wants and needs,and the plantform must be big and cheap,even free.~~~

Facebook is very popular now,because more and more people would like to use it.However,the problem is still cannot be avoid,especially the privacy of facebook,i.e. every user’s information which is written on the facebook can be seen by others and also,they need to accept other people’s information.Many people think it’s unfair,but anyway it is really a good way to make profit.Because all the information is free to get,not only for the company,but also for the users.It means, in fact, facebook just looks like a platform which is for all the people to exchange the information.About the privacy,I think it depends on the user,as they decide which kind of information they need to write and post.Another problem for the facebook is that the information people sent to others is always repeat.It makes your profile very mussy and the application you added cannot be used efficiently,and they are not very useful sometimes.My opinion about the facebook is that people always would like to try something new,but the new item is not always perfect~

In my view,today’s students must know how to use the new technology to help themselves,not only in study.Maybe many people will say that using the new technology let the student become lazy and they will lose the ablity of writing on a piece of paper and reading the paper book.I don’t think so.First of all,the new technology changes our life a lot and let the speed of life become more and more faster and better.People enjoy the new technology,so it won’t be died out in a very short time;secondly,for the student,everyday,they need to study a lot of information.How to use the time efficiently and how to choose the information are big problems for them;thirdly,using the new technology to teach the student is a good and interesting way.Students can learn much better than before.Anyway,the technology is exist in this world now,and all the people cannot avoid to touch it,so just enjoy it!!!:)
